- Description
- In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 19.1405 the Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 11 Contract Service Center (90CSC), John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, announces this Pre-Solicitation is being issued as a competitive Set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Offers are solicited only from service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns shall not be considered. Work consists of monthly inspection, reporting and minor maintenance of the irrigation system located at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd. Holly, MI. 48442. The irrigation system is comprised of four zones and serves 45 acres of lawn and burial areas. The water source for the system is Fagan Lake which is located in the center of the cemetery. The irrigation system is primarily supported by a main computer located in the cemetery office area; however, it also includes four stand-alone satellite controllers located throughout the cemetery. It is anticipated that the full solicitation document will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities website no later than Wendesday March 26, 2008, and that offers must be submitted by 3:00 PM EDT on April 11, 2008. Offers must be submitted to Bill Baugess, Contract Specialist, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R, Detroit, MI 48201. Facsimile transmissions and electronic mail will not be accepted. All prospective offeror???s are encouraged to visit the Great Lakes National Cemetery for a tour of the grounds and to inspect the facility blue prints. The blue prints may only be viewed at the GLNC. The following dates and times have been established for the site visit and blue print review: Monday, March 31, 2008,9:00 AM EDT and Friday, April 4, 2008, 1:00 PM EDT. Prospective offerors shall contact Ms. Melanie Jillson, Program Assistant, Great Lakes National Cemetery, to schedule their visit prior to submitting offers.
