Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision to install new underground fiber optic cabling that will connect eight (8) buildings at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Headquarters complex in Brecksville, Ohio and connect with existing fiber optic cabling along Riverview Road. Work will also require the installation of an underground duct bank with fiber optic cable and several splices. This project will result in an integrated voice and data cable network system. The project performance period is 60 days after issuance of the notice to proceed. The NAICS code is 238210. The small business size standard is $13.0 million. The estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, bid schedule, and wage rates will be posted to the websites http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about April 1, 2008. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. To receive the Invitation for Bid package you must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
