- Sole Source: The United States Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region, Yuma Directorate of Contracting, Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Faro Technology, 525 Tec hnology Park, Suite 125, Lake Mary, FL 32746. This requirement is for two (2) items 1) Laser Tracker Model X with Precision Level; and 2) Cam2 Measure X No. Softcheck Tool System for FaroArm. This additional equipment must conform to the fit, form and function of the existing Faro hardware and software currently in use at the Metrology and Simulation Division, YPG, Yuma, Arizona. Faro is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and holds proprietary data rights on the existing system being utilized at YPG. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct thei r own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement. Responses other than the above source may identify their interest and capabilities to perform the requirement by submitting a proposal via email or facsimile with complete mailin g address, point of contact, phone number, facsimile number, business size and shall be clearly marked with solicitation number W9124R-08-T-1023.
