- Description
- The Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to issue a requirements contract, on a sole source basis, to Beckman Coulter, Inc., 11800 SW 147th Avenue, Miami, FL 33196-2500 for lease of a PrepPlus 2 Sample Preparation System and purchase of reagents for use with the medical center's Beckman Coulter FC500 Flow Cytometer. The reagents to be supplied include tetrachrome 45/4/8/3, tetrachrome 45/56/19/3, ImmunoPrep Reagent Kits and Flow-Count Fluorospheres. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source for the required services under authority of FAR 6.302-1, only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by contacting the contracting Officer, Elizabeth Youse, at Elizabeth.Youse@va.gov by March 24, 2008. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
