- This procurement is to Procure Sun Microsystems products from authorized Sun Microsystems Government Systems Provider (GSP) to upgrade to existing server hardware to include memory, computer processing unit, network and storage for Naval Facilities Engineering Command Information Technology Center (NITC) , Port Hueneme, CA. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. N62583-08-R-0050 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-24. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS AND PROPOSALS MUST BE FROM AUTHORIZED GSP OF SUN MICORSYSTEMS ONLY; NAICS Code is 4 23430 and the small business size standard is 100 employees for authorized resellers. Delivery will be FOB Destination. This will be a firm-fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. CLIN 0001: QUANTITY (1 LOT); DESCRIPTION: Purchase Sun Microsystems Products, see list. FAR Provisions 52.212-1 and 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items applies. Evaluation criteria will be technical capabilities, price, past performance. Offerors are to include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies as well as FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following FAR clauses cited in 52.212-5 apply:, 52.217-8; 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.222-41, 52.222-42, 52.225-1, 52.225-13, 52.232-33, 5252.217-9301, 5252.232-9513 Invoicing Instructions and Payment (WAWF Instructions)(MAR 2006) applies. Request for Proposal (RFP) number is N62583-08-R-0050. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. Proposals that are not from authorized GSP of Sun Micorsystems may be reje cted without further consideration for award. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement and Past performance.
