- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD is seeking information from potential sources regarding industry technologies applicable to improving the pressure gauge that is used on seat kit assemblies (Ventilated seat pan, SKU-2/A, SKU-3/A, SKU-6/A, SKU-10/A, SKU-11/A, and SKU-12/A) and also the E-2C emergency oxygen system CRU-109/P22P-20. The gauge must meet the dimension and qualification requirements that are called out in specification MIL-G-7601B. The Oxygen Team is seeking a gauge with a more easily readable dial with an exact pressure indication of 250, plus 100 PSI increments from 1500 to 1800, and a reading of 2200. These reading should be on a 180 degree arc from 0 - 2500 PSIG. The dial should include a reading from 0-1500 PSIG indicated by a red background with a mark indicating 250 PSI. Also include the word ?REFILL? in red letters at 0 PSIG. The 1500 ? 1800 should be a yellow background with black marks indicating 1500, 1600, and 1700 PSIG. The 1800- 2200 should have a green background with a mark indicating 1800 and then 2200 PSIG. The range of 2200 to 2500 should be indicated in black. Also we are inviting the possibility of technology that will compensate for the atmospheric temperature in relations to the accurate reading of pressure still within the size requirements. This request is for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The NAWCAD is seeking innovative solutions addressing these requirements. Commercial solutions and/or technical solutions currently in production and/or prototype stages are highly desired. Written responses should be submitted by 12 August 2008 and reference this synopsis number on both the mailing envelope as well as on all enclosed documents. Interested companies should indicate whether or not they are a small, small disadvantage, 8(a), or large business. Respondents must clarify if their firm can provide commercial or non-developmental items that could be modified to meet NAWCAD?s needs.
