- Services nonpersonal: The contractor shall provide qualified and trained personnel and supervision including all necessary equipment to perform Military Family Housing maintenance and repairs. Work requirements include maintenance of 1266 military family housing units; cleaning of vacated family units; application of protective coating/painting for interior and exterior surfaces; and carpet/floor covering replacement for units that vary in age from 1 to 40 years old. MAFB also turns over for change of occupancy approximately 620 military family housing units per year. The contractor will develop, implement and provide a written annual recurring maintenance and inspection program that will ensure all military family housing units remain safe, and that all installed equipment items such as HVAC, utility systems (water, sewer, drainage, gas and electrical), appliances fireplaces dryer vents fire extinguishers and fire and carbon monoxide detectors are maintained in sound working order. The contractor will implement, maintain and operate a 24 hour service call system that records and accurately tracks all service requests received from military family housing occupants. The contractor will have a system to respond to Emergency, Urgent and Routine calls. This synopsis of proposed contract action is for planning purposes only and does not commit the government to pay for any information, issue a solicitation, or award a contract. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the government for reimbursement. The basic period of performance is 01 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 with four one-year option periods. In addition, the solicitation and resultant contract will include FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. All offerors doing business with the government MUST register in the DoD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) database prior to any subsequent award. Payment for this acquisition will be made through the Wide Area Work Flow (WWAF) system. Contractors must be registered in WAWF, see Internet site https://wawf.eb.mil/ for registration. Potential contractors must also register in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at Internet site http://orca.bpn.gov. The single source of entry, for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition, will be posted on the government procurement website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All interested parties are responsible for checking this website to ensure they have the most current information (i.e. amendments issued, changes to the PWS, etc).
