- FED BIZ OPPS PREP: PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ENTRY FORM Submission Date: Response Date: 04/17/2008 Classification: Z -Construction. Solicitation: Presolicitation Notice Subject: Main Switchboard Panel Replacement, at the VA Medical Center Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Description: Synopsis: The project scope consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for the replacement of the Main Switchboard panels, transfer switches, buss duct packages, main feed from the emergency generators and transformers in Building 111. Work includes the relocation of existing panels and service and load feeders as required accommodating new installation of switchboards; a coordination phasing plan for the power disruptions for the installation and de-installation of the switchboards and other equipment. Work also includes necessary temporary equipment such as emergency generator sets, renovations for the switch gear rooms B0255, B0255A, and old emergency generator room B0250 to accommodate the installation of all new equipment. This includes removal of obsolete utilities, walls, doors, power panels, etc. This also includes lighting, sprinkler, ventilation/air conditioning, flooring/wall modifications. Project Engineer is Jeff Dulka at (414) 384-2000, extension 41084. The firm must be an experienced electrical contractor with an approved NAICS Code 238210. The firm must have electrical and site-work experience with contracts as the prime construction contractor in the $2 million - 5 million range. Estimated issue date for solicitation is March 26, 2008. Estimated dollar range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. THIS SOLICITATION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. Award is subject to availablility of funds.
