- The Hefner VAMC, Salisbury, NC is seeking the services of an Architect-Engineer firm to complete design of a project to completely survey and assess all existing loads on the emergency power system in Bldg 2 and complete the design for the replacement of the two existing 150KW generators. Work shall include but not be limited to a complete assessment of existing loads, cabling, transfer switches, and other system components to properly determine the sizing of the replacement generators. Consideration shall also be given to adding a third generator and all associated system components to better distribute loading and/or provide for distribute loading and/or provide for future expansion and capacity. All work is in Building 2, the main medical center building at the VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. This is not a request for proposal. This proposal is unrestricted; both small and large firms may submit. Firms submitting SF 330s shall provide two copies to the attention of Jolette Morrison by 3PM on April 18, 2008. The selected firm shall provide all necessary labor, material, equipment and architectural and engineering services as required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates through construction of the project. Design shall be in accordance with all applicable requirements of the VA construction standards, space criteria, NFPA, NEC, OSHA and local, state and federal regulations. Reviews at 25%, 75%, 99% and 100% are required. All construction documents are to be provided electronically in the current version of AutoCad and MS Word. NAICS code 541310 is applicable to this procurement. Faxed copies of SF 330 are not acceptable. The SF 330 form may be downloaded at www.gsa.gov/forms. Government-wide Number Note 24 is applicable.
