Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC 27709 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Geraldine M. Wolfle, Durham, NC 27709 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for senior advisory services to the NIEHS Acting Director as per the following statement of work. This contract will allow for an ongoing project currently being conducted by Ms. Wolfle to be completed by 9/30/08.It is expected that Ms. Wolfe will provide expert advice to the Acting Director and Senior Leadership on constituency development. Specifically, she will: Provide expert advice and counsel to the Acting Director and Senior Leadership on ways to build constituency support and develop and facilitate partnerships with medical research organizations, advocacy groups, professional organizations and Federal and State agencies. Provide advice on program development and building support for new programs. Attend regular meetings with the Acting Director, NIEHS, to discuss and strategize on the development and implementation of new partnerships for environmental health sciences. Analyze and propose appropriate new operating procedures that would build partners and support for NIEHS. Serve as liaison between the NIEHS Acting Director and outside organizations. Focus shall be on: identifying areas for collaboration; improving ongoing communication with outside partners; attending meetings with the Acting Director (These meetings include all meetings with outside organizations, other NIH institutes and DHHS agencies.);
