- Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Item No. 0001: NOUN: ALQ-172 Mod Kit Contract Type: A Firm fixed price, 1 year requirement contract is contemplated for this contract. The estimated quantities are as follows: Quantity: 56 EA BEQ 94 EA MAX FSC: 1560 NAICS Code: 336411 Description: The Forward Side Blister (FSB) installation kit (i.e. Group "A" Kit) is in support of the B-52 aircraft. The Group "A" installation kit is generally defined as hardware equipment which normally remains permanently installed on the aircraft, becomes part of the aircraft structure, or is used to support, secure, interconnect, or accommodate other equipment or structures. The Group "A" includes the left and right forward hinges, left and right tri-mount assemblies and associated attachment hardware. This kit will be used to attach new B-52 FSB radomes. This solicitation is for new manufactured material. The solicitation FA8107-07-R-0010 issue date is approximately 24 September 2007. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.
