- Description
- The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/) in Nicaragua intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) in full and open competition. The resulting performance base contract will increase the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-size enterprises by expanding local sales and export market opportunities and promoting value added production and private investment. In addition, it will increase the number of hectares under improved environmental management. As a result of this activity, USAID expects the following: Result 1 Exports and local sales of goods and services increased Result 2 Employment Increased by participating MSMEs. Result 3 Alliances established in support of Contract results. Result 4 Local institutions and/or enterprises providing market access, business development and certification technical services on a fee-basis. Result 5 Environmental protection and biodiversity conservation increased. Result 6 Results, beneficiaries, and program impact tracked by geographic area. Result 7 Crisis Modifier/Rapid Response Mechanism Place of Performance: Nicaragua, Central America Period of Performance: Four years (Not to exceed September 30, 2009).
