- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a solicitation for the acquisition of eight types of Currency Shrink Wrap Films used on the printing presses during currency production. The stock numbers are 1L001936, 1L001937, 1L001938, 1L001970, 1L001973, 1L002022 and 1L002023 are in accordance with BEP Specification SW-5A, dated March 19, 2003. An unrestricted full and open competitive solicitation is planned. The contract type will be Fixed-Priced, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 3201 Pennsy Dr, Landover, MD 20785 and Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 9000 Blue Mound Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76131. The period of performance will be for one (1) twelve month base period and four (4) 12-month option years. Estimated quantities for deliveries to the Washington D.C. facility for stock number 1L001936 bundle wrap are as follows: 2,200 rolls for the base year, 2,000 rolls for Option years one, two and three, and 2,100 rolls for Option year four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L001937 brick wrap: 1,300 rolls for the base year, 1,100 rolls for Option years one and three, 1,200 rolls for Option year two and four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L001938 blue cash-pak: 500 rolls for the base year and Option year one, 600 rolls for Option years two, three and four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L001970 green cash-pak: 200 rolls for the base year, 100 rolls for Option years two, three and four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L002023 gold cash-pak: 200 rolls for the base year, 200 rolls for Option years one, three and four, and 400 rolls for Option year two. Estimated quantities for deliveries to the Fort Worth, TX facility for stock number 1L001936 bundle wrap are as follows: 1,971 rolls for the base year, 2,395 rolls for Option year one, 2,580 rolls for Option year two, and 247 rolls for Option year three and 2,672 rolls for Option year four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L001937 brick wrap: 1,130 rolls for the base year, 1,373 rolls for Option year one, 1,479 rolls for Option year two, and 142 rolls for Option year three and 1,531 rolls for Option year four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L001938 blue cash-pak: 99 rolls for the base year, 138 rolls for Option year one, 158 rolls for Option year two, 159 rolls Option year three and 160 rolls for Option year four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L002022 purple cash pak: 170 rolls for the base year, 156 rolls for Option year one, 162 rolls for Option year two, and 168 rolls for Option year three and 174 rolls for Option year four. Estimated deliveries for Stock number 1L002023 gold cash-pak: 169 rolls for the base year, 234 rolls for Option year one, 176 rolls for Option year two, and 135 rolls for Option year three and 147 rolls for Option year four.
