- Description
- Due to delays in receiving necessary documentation, the government is revising its previous annoucement. As of today, March 14, 2008, the government has issued a solicitation for a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract in Miami County, Kansas. This construction project is for PL 84-99 levee repairs on the Osawatomie Levee Unit. Work shall consist of restoration of bedding and stone protection for outfall structures; repairs adjacent to existing floodwall including excavation of loosened soil, replac ement and backfill and placement of stone protection and replacement of buried seepage collection pipe; and crest repairs to damaged portions of levee including placement and compaction of soil material and aggregrate surfacing. The magnitude of this proje ct is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. Packets are available through the FedTEDS website at www.fedteds.gov or at the site visit which is scheduled for March 27, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Parti cipants will meet at the intersection of 5th and Main in Osawatomie, KS. Please note that to be eligible for award of this project, you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the CCR website which is www.ccr.gov. Addit ionally you must complete your Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at the ORCA website which is orca.bpn.gov. Solicitations must be received at the Contracting Office by 10:00 AM on April 17, 2008 in Room 748. Please note that if you are hand delivering your solicitation package, you must enter through security. Any untimeliness due to problems getting past security is at the risk of the vendor. The bid opening room (Room 748) shall not be opened until 9:30 AM. The government shall not be main taining a seperate bidders list outside of the one provided through the Fedbizopps website. A list of attendees (shortly after the bid opening) and questions and answers shall be posted to the FedTEDs website. Upon completion of the bid opening, an appare nt low bidder worksheet shall be made available at http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/Flood2007/RehabRequest-Contracting.htm as well as the final abstract after award.
