- Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to provide "UPGRADE ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM" at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. Work includes general construction, site work, electrical work, mechanical work, necessary renovations to existing room, receiving and installation of Government purchased medium voltage (12.47 KV) switchgear and transformers, 480 V switchboard, automatic transfer switches, and 480 V distribution panels and certain other items as required by the specifications and drawings. The NAICS code is 238210/size standard is $13 million. Cost range is $2,000,000-$5,000,000. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, drawings and schedules of the solicitation, Subject to the Availability of Funds. THIS SOLICITATION IS A TOTAL SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. BIDS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED FROM SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES in accordance with Public Law 109-461. The issue date is 3/31/08. Pre-Bid Conference: 4/9/08 at 9:30am LOCATION: Engineering Conference Room EB106-1, Basement, VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, Florida. Bid Opening: 4/29/08 at 3:00pm in Conference Room B18, Bldg. 19 at the VA MEDICAL CENTER, 619 S. MARION AVENUE, LAKE CITY, FL 32025. All bid packages must be accessed on line.
