- MARKET SURVEY - Planned Acquisition for fabricated metal boxes for the Data Collection Platform This is a market survey to obtain up to 300 each fabricated metal boxes to house the data collection platform. Drawings are attached. Proprietary Information Warning: The drawings may contain sensitive Security Information and attachments that are controlled under 49 CFR 15 and 1520. No part of these drawings may be disclosed to persons without a "need to know", as defined in CFR Parts 15 and 1520, except with the written permission of the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration or the Secretary of Transportation. Unauthorized release may result in civil penalty or other action. For U.S. Government agencies, public disclosure is governed by 5 U.S.C. 552 and 40 CFR parts 15 and 1520. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. A solicitation for this item may be posted at a later date on this website. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendors' expense. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set-aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest from small businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing the items listed below. These statements provide information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 332439 Other Metal Container Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. Interested firms are required to submit the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. Firms shall also submit an estimated price and/or product catalog for the part, and a proposed delivery schedule. All responses to this market survey must be received by 2:00 p.m. 7 Apr 2008.
