- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is requesting information to determine the availability of interested parties to provide: 1) Literature Search and Summarization ? Conduct comprehensive literature and database searches for chemical, biological or physical substances or classes of substances under consideration by the National Toxicology Program for toxicological testing and prepare brief descriptive summaries of the information identified in the literature searches; 2) Preparation of Toxicological Summary Reports - Review the data and information gathered in the literature searches, summarize the material relevant to the individual substance(s), and prepare a comprehensive written review (Toxicological Summary Report) of information on production, uses, human exposure, pertinent regulations, human health and environmental effects, toxicological effects, and relevant structure-activity relationships for each substance.; 3) Preparation of structure data files - For all substances, including classes of substances, for which literature searches are assigned by the Project Officer, prepare electronic summary data files in structure data format (SDF) and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format using an appropriate cheminformatics software application. For estimating purposes the Government anticipates a cost reimbursement completion type award with a period of performance of 5 base years and 3 one year options. IT IS EMPHASIZED THAT THIS NOTICE IS FOR PLANNING AND INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT, NOR WILL THE GOVERNMENT PAY FOR INFORMATION SOLICITED. INTERESTED OFFERORS SHOULD SUBMIT (5) COPIES OF THEIR CAPABILITY STATEMENT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTEEN (15) PAGES IN LENGTH, EXCLUDING STANDARD BROCHURES, ETC., FOR RECEIPT BY THE AGENCY ON January 7, 2008.
