- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) PMA-265 intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source contract for a base year and four option years to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products Inc. (GDATP), 128 Lakeside Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401-4985 to procure M61A2 20mm Automatic Gatling Gun Systems for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. It is estimated the Navy will procure approximately 125 units over a five (5) year period to support Domestic and FMS requirements. This contract will also contain in-service engineering and technical support of the M61A2 20mm Gun System. The Government intends to negotiate the contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. GDATP is the only known company that possesses the engineering expertise and personnel necessary to perform the efforts associated with this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals however all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Note 22 applies.
