- Description
- Furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, except for Government furnished property, to close various abandoned mine features with bat gates, drainage culverts, polyurethane foam (PUF), or by barring down lose material above adit portals. There are a total of 30 mine features at 7 mine site which will be closed in this contract, 6 will be gated in some manner, and 24 will be closed with PUF or barred down. Work will include two days evaluating the potential of four abandoned mine features in the Missoula Field Office area to host bats. This may require underground entry. There are 4 line items: 1) Mobilization, 1 lump sum; 2) Field Evaluation , l lump sum; 3) Door and Grate Closure, 6 each; 4) PUF or Bar Down Closure, 24 each. Work under this contract is located along Camp Creek in Silver Bow and Beaverhead Counties, Montana. The contractor shall have 82 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed to complete the work. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A 100 percent payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $30,000. Payment protection will be submitted within ten (10) days of NOTICE OF AWARD, by an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond. This procurement is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. However, all small business concerns are encouraged to respond. If a fair and reasonable quote is NOT received by a responsible and responsive Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concern, all quotes received from small business concerns will be considered without further competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238190. Small business size standard is $13.0 million. The solicitation will be posted on or about March 31, 2008. Response date for quotes will be on or about April 29, 2008. Information for the site visit will be cited in Section L of the specifications. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete their annual representations and certifications (ORCA).
