Description
The US Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L LCMC) Acquisition Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems intends to issue a solicitation for the manufacture and delivery of the M762A1 Electronic Time (ET) Fuze and M762A1 ET Safe & Arm (S&A) Assemblies. The M762A1 Fuze is an electronic fuze used with spin stabilized 105mm and 155mm artillery cargo carrying projectiles. The M762A1 ET Fuze in the time mode can be set manually without the need of a tool or set inductively via an inductive link with the M1155 Portable Inductive Artillery Fuze Setter (PIAFS). These setting features support an increase in the rate of fire and reduce the potential for fuze setting mistakes due to human errors. In the time mode the fuze is settable from 0.5 seconds to 199.9 seconds in 0.1 second increments. The Government expects to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract for an approximate base quantity in the range of 20K-25K. The contract will include four option years with ranges for the following approximate quantities: FY09 (25K-31K); FY10 (25K-32K); FY11 (30K-50K); FY12 (30K-44K). The contract will also include options with ranges for supplemental Army, and Marine Corps requirements: FY08 (10K-20K); FY09 (10K-25K); FY10 (10K-25K); FY11 (20K-40K); FY12 (20K- 40K). The Government reserves the right to exercise options up to the maximum aggregate quantities available in the base period and the four option periods without regard to the actual FY. The M762A1 ET Fuze and M762A1 ET Fuze S&A Assemblies will be manufactured, inspected, assembled, packaged and delivered in accordance with a Government Technical Data Packages (TDP) and applicable contract requirements. This procurement will be restricted to the National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB). Numbered notes 13 and 26 are applicable to this effort. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) exists for this effort and may be obtained provided a Non-Disclosure Form is signed and on file. The Non-Disclosure Agreement may be obtained via e-mail by sending a request electronically to Peter Vincenti, Contract Specialist, at peter.vincenti@us.army.mil or by calling 973-724-5368. Interested offerors may also obtain a copy of the uncertified TDP upon request. A DD2345 must also be submitted prior to receiving the TDP package (CD). It is expected that the solicitation will be posted on the JM&L LCMC Procurement Network in approximately 50 days.
