- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center currently has a fixed-price requirements contract with Welin Lambie, Ltd., Number HSCG40-06-D-60032, for the overhaul and upgrade of Welin Lambie Dual Point Davit Systems. It is the intent of this office to modify this existing contract to include a CLIN covering commissioning services for the remaining option years which was inadvertently omitted from the original contract award. The original contract was awarded on a sole-source basis because all engineering and technical data and drawings are proprietary to Welin Lambie and Welin Lambie will not provide unlimited data rights to release this information and allow for a competitive acquisition including this modification. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide the required commissioning services in accordance with Welin Lambie specifications and standards are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within ten calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information that must be submitted includes: (1) Certification from Welin Lambie to demonstrate the ability to obtain all current and complete technical and engineering data and drawings as well as davit components; and/or (2) Data that the services and parts have been successfully provided to the OEM and/or the Government. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate capabilities relative to the above requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this modification. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this modification. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
