Description
The California Institute of Technology?s (Caltech) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), operating under a prime contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is surveying Industry to gauge interest of potential proposers in an anticipated competitive procurement for Modular Furniture Systems. Contracts with JPL are funded by NASA and are subcontracts under a NASA Prime Contract with Caltech. BACKGROUND: These Modular Furniture System Installation Services call for personnel, vehicles, facilities, equipment, expendables, maintenance, utilities and the necessary systems and procedures have required to warehouse, design, order, and install Knoll Modular Furniture, including electrical connections and office amenities at the JPL Oak Grove and Woodbury facilities in Pasadena, California. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: The goal of this modular systems furniture at JPL is essential to the constant movement of its employees throughout the Lab. The current modular systems furniture installation service contract is scheduled to expire on July 30, 2008. The purpose of this RFI is to then determine the interest and capabilities of potential proposers for the re-competition of this modular systems furniture service contract. SITE VISIT: A site visit for all interested parties will be conducted on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. PDT at JPL located at 4800 Oak Grove Drive, Pasadena, California 91109. It is intended during this site visit to determine what the Industry is capable of providing to the Laboratory in the form of efficient and cost-effective solutions for the both the warehousing and logistics of modular systems furniture, including installation. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The anticipated period of performance for such services on a fixed-price baseline is from August 2008 through July 2011 with the potential for follow-on services through 2013.
