- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, Wilmington Contracting Office intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract under GSA Schedule and on a sole source basis to Reson, Inc., 100 Frederic Lopez Rd, Goleta, CA 93117-3241. The requirement is for the procurement of two systems to be installed and integrated on the survey vessel Beaufort which is located at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Field Survey Office in Morehead City, North Carolina. This procurement is being conduct ed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The specifications are for a SeaBat 7125-A Dual Frequency Multibeam Bathmetry Sonar System 400 kHz upgradeable t o a second frequency of 200 kHz (or equal) and an Applanix Position and Orientation System (POS) MV320 (or equal) including the following optional features: SVP-70 sound velocity probe, extended warranty support and maintenance contracts, and onsite suppo rt and training. Equipment is to be delivered within 8 weeks after receipt of order and installation, training and integration shall be completed 30 days after delivery of equipment. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Parts 8, 12, and 13 and in conjunction with FAR Part 13.501(a). No RFQ will be issued based on this notice. Although quotes will not be accepted, any information received will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement i n the future. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Gove rnment will not pay for information received. The NAICS code is 334511 with a Size Standard of 750 employees.
