- Description
- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to identify firms capable of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to manage and accomplish the project KNMD071041B, Repair Building Structure, Building 1102, located in Hickam AFB, Oahu, Hawaii. The contractor is required to develop a plan which identifies the work to be performed, new equipment and materials to be used and installed, work procedures and management approach. Once approved, the Contractor will then be required to implement the plan and prepare documentation on operation and maintenance, training, warranties, and other required items. Contractor is not required to design from scratch and is to provide detailed shop drawings for review to ensure government requirements are met prior to construction. The work involved in this project shall be to, but not limited to, refurbishing the existing selected structural reinforced concrete columns supporting each of the Building 1102?s 13 wing areas. Apply temporary shoring to support the structure during repairs as indicated or deemed necessary. Plan to temporarily move or relocate any electrical and mechanical equipment and appurtenances necessary to accomplish the repairs as indicated or deemed necessary. Apply cathodic protection to the reinforcing steel of all columns specified in the contract. Cut temporary openings in the existing reinforced concrete grade walls for site access as necessary to accomplish the repairs. All temporary openings will be returned to original condition. Work to be performed will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard $23 million. The magnitude of construction is between $1.0 Million and $5.0 Million. Performance period is 540 calendar day. The Government will evaluate offers and select the awardee who is most responsive and responsible and whose proposal offers the best overall value to the Government. In responding to this Sources Sought Synopsis, please indicate (a) type of Business concern (Large/Small), disadvantaged, 8(a), or HUB Zone status (b) provide evidence of recent (within three (3) years) and relevant experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, contract value, and; (c) availability of bonding of at least $5 Million for this project. The solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Web Site at http://www.eps.gov. All contractors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database or their proposal will not be considered, http://www.ccr.gov. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought.
