- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, South Texas Veterans Health Care System has a requirement for the inspection and testing of its medical gases systems at multiple facilities throughout south Texas. Places of Performance: The Audie L. Murphy Veterans Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, TX; the Veterans Hospital in Kerrville, TX; the Frank Tejada Outpatient Clinic in San Antonio, TX; the VA Dental Clinic in San Antonio, TX; the VA Outpatient Clinic in Corpus Christi, TX; and the VA Outpatient Clinic in McAllen, TX. Inspection and testing service shall include, testing of alarm set points of the gases on each master alarm panel and area alarm panel. Inspection of each system for proper design, installation and function. Tests for purity, concentration and contamination. Test alarm panels for function and proper pressure. Zone valves tested for proper function, identification and integrity. Test medical gas outlets for maximum flow, operation and leaks. Evaluate compliance in accordance with latest edition of NFPA, Compressed Gases Association (CGA), USP/NF, and the Joint Commission Standards. Report source evaluations; particulate profile (outlet findings); evaluation of general conditions; deficiencies, and recommendations with reference to NFPA standard.
