Description
The VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics, White City, OR has a need for seismic, HVAC, and state-of-art upgrades to specific sections of Building for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service in Building 209 Lower South. The Contractor shall renovate selected areas of the building consisting of removing walls, floors and ceiling. Installing new walls, floors and ceilings. Removal of existing roofing areas and installation of new roofing. The HVAC system will be connected to Phase I new unit, new lighting, telecom cabling and power, plumbing, and fire detection will be installed. Gypsum wallboard will be removed as well as special lead paint, insulation and asbestos handling procedures. This project will be set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small business (NAICS Code 236220, Size Standard $31 million). Estimated construction cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Projects expected duration is 150 days with specific sections to be phased. The government will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) construction solicitation. The VA expects to award on a Firm Fixed Price Basis. Contract may be awarded without discussion. Offers will be evaluated on the basis of past performance, past experience with safety and infection control, ability to meet project schedules and price. All evaluation factors when combined will be significantly more important than cost or price. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.11, prospective contractors are required to have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and FAR Part 4.12, prospective contractors must complete electronic online annual representations and certifications (ORCA) databases prior to award of a contract.
