- The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business concerns ( SDVOSB) or for Small Businesses. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for dockside repairs aboard the USCGC WILLOW (WLB 202). All work shall be accomplished at the cutters homeport which is Newport, RI. Point of contact on the boat is CWO Seth Andersen at (401)841-2944. The work may consist of the following items: Renew and Calibrate Tank Level Indicators, lean and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, Clean Sewage and Grey Water Piping System, Clean, Inspect and Test Hot Water Accumulator and Hydro-Pneumatic Tanks, Upgrade Buoy Deck HPU Pump, Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems, Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect Lube Oil Tanks (Includes Disposal), Clean and Inspect SSDG Lube Oil Cooler, Clean Auxiliary Sea Water Piping System, Perform Twin Pivot Arm Davit- Model TW-PIV5.0A Maintenance, Overhaul Cross Deck Winches, Perform Buoy Chain Winch Maintenance, Repair Buoy Crane Boom Guide, Overhaul Valve, Overhaul Steering Actuating Cylinders, Preserve Buoy Working Areas, Preserve Stern Thruster Bilge, Preserve Weather Deck, Renew Ventilation Ducting, Repair Firemain Piping, Renew Weather Tight Doors, Perform Buoy Chain Winch Maintenance. The performance period is for 52 days, commencing on or about Jul 08, 2088 through August 29, 2008. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. (c) past performance references with points of contact and phone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. Your response is required by March 20, 2008. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone small business set aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted at www.fbo.gov.
