- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends ro award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to EurekAlerr American Association for the Advance,ment of Science, for Department of Energy wide Subscription for the Advancement of Science EurekAlert, under FAR Part 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR part 13 will be used. See attached Statement of Work. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firms ability to provide the subscription, and rationale as to why they should be considered, as described above. All interested firms must respond by 1:00 p.m. (EST), March 27, 2008, to Henrietta Thompson, U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830. Fax number 865-576-3589. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competive procurement. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided by DOE.
