- Description
- Project Title: Beaverhead-Deerlodge and Helena National Forests 2008 Aerial Weed Spraying - It is intended to issue a commercial solicitation for aerial application of herbicides by fixed wing aircraft and/or helicopter in Powell and Granite counties of Montana. Work will be performed in mountainous terrain. Contractor shall provide a licensed aerial applicator experienced in herbicide application in mountainous terrain. The application vegetation sites are situated at varying elevation, between 5,000 - 6,900 feet at the highest. Units will not be marked on the ground, but GPS coordinates, aerial photos, and topographical maps will be available. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment supervision, transportation, operating supplies, chemicals, quality control and incidental supplies necessary to perform work in addition to supplying the water for mixing. A pre-bid meeting will be held on April 11, 2008 beginning at 8:30 am MDST at the Supervisor's Office, Helena National Forest, Helena, MT. Government estimated price range is between $100,000 and $500,000. The project will be set aside for small business. The solicitation packet will be available on approximately March 26, 2008 and can be downloaded from this site at that time.
