This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) F1TBAM7338A001-A. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332710, with small business standard size of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This requirement is for the following. CLIN 0001: Two (2) each, LARGE BLAST BOX, in accordance with specifications and drawings. Specify delivery date for this CLIN. CLIN 0002: Two (2) each, SMALL BLAST BOX, in accordance with specifications and drawings. Specify delivery date for this CLIN. CLIN 0001 must be delivered first. SPECIFICATIONS are as follows: The two steel blast boxes shall be constructed from normalized 4340 steel grade material. The two blastboxes are distinguished as large or small pertaining to the opening created once assembled. Each blastbox is constructed of four walls and four edges designed to mate together as slip fits with little room for movement between adjoining parts. Walls: There are two walls designated long and short to distinguish them. The long wall has overall dimensions of 95?X24?X3? whereas the short wall has overall dimensions of 41.75?X24?X3?. The vendor will cut slots from their 3? depth so they can accept the edges needed to complete the blastbox assembly. The vendor will tap and drill two holes so that the walls can be lifted and moved into place. Edges: There are two edges designated long and short to distinguish them. For the large box, the long edge has overall dimensions of 81.5?X6?X11.44? and overall dimensions of 25.38?X6?X11.44? for the short edge. To complete assembly of the box two of each edge will need to be constructed. The edges for the small box has overall dimensions of 54.88?X6?X11.44? for its long edge and overall dimensions of 25.38?X6?X11.44? for its short edge. To complete assembly of the box two of each edge will need to be constructed. Construction: The vendor shall perform manufacturing processes without dramatically altering the material properties of the normalized 4340 steel material, i.e. torching shouldn?t be considered. It is important that material properties be kept consistent from start to finish as much as possible. Tolerances for dimensions shall be held to the hundredths. Shipping: FOB Destination. Drawings are available upon request. Please send requests for the drawings to Ms. Mary Gardner, mary.gardner@eglin.af.mil or to Ms. Manivanh Mundy, manivanh.mundy@eglin.af.mil .
