- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Division, Code 2.5.1.2, Webster Field St Inigoes, Maryland intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Non-Competitive Indefinite Quantity / Indefinite Delivery contract with Harris RF Communication, 1680 University Ave, Rochester, NY 14610-1839. This Base Year and two one year option contract is to procure approximately 90 PRC-117 Radios, P/N AM-7588 and 18 VRC-103 Radio Amplifiers in support of the AN/TPN-31A Air Traffic Navigation Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS) for the U.S. Marine Corps. The government intends to order no more than 26 Units per year for the PRC-117 Radios and 6 Units per year for the VRC-103 Radio Amplifiers. The ATNAVICS System provides radar surveillance and air traffic control services for military and commercial aircraft in and outside the Continental United States. The Harris Corporation PRC-117F and VRC-103 are commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components selected as the best fit for ATNAVICS requirements. The products will be processed under the authority of FAR part 6.302-1(A)(ii), ?Supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract for the continued development or production of a major system or highly specialized equipment, including major components thereof, when it is likely that awarded to any other source would result in (A) substantial cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.? THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they identify their interest and capability. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Contracts shall consider all responses. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement as a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
