Description

The VA Network 22 Logistic Office intends to negotiate a sole source procurement (VA 664-08-1-654-0012) in accordance with Far Part 13 with Doron Precision Systems, Inc. under authority of Far 6.302-1. This procurement is for a Rehabilitation /Assessment Doron Driving Simulation System. The VA anticipates an increase in the number of patient referrals to the Disabled Driver Training Program. To accommodate this increase, as well as timely access to the program, an additional Driving Simulator System is being requested by the VA. The stimulator is a vital component for patient evaluation and training to monitor driving behavior, performance, reaction, attention and utilization of special adapted driving equipment in a safe controlled environment. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. The Government will consider all quotes received by 12:00 PM, March 24, 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing by mail.
