- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Mortuary Services for the Federal Medical Center, and Federal Prison Camp, located at 1300 Leestown Road, Lexington, Kentucky. The contractor is to provide complete mortuary services to include: embalming, body preparation, casket, and transportation/shipping of remains. The quantity of services is estimated to be for a maximum of 20 deceased persons for the base year and each of the four option year periods. The contract shall consist of a base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. The NAICS code for this procurement is 812210 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 11, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is April 11, 2008. Anticipated date of award is May 11, 2008. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
