- Description
- The Navy intends to procure on a sole source basis from Kathrein. Inc., Scala Division, P.O. Box 4580 Medford, OR 97501, forty-eight (48) VHF Omni-Directional TV Antenna tuned to the following channels: four (4) tuned to E3, four (4) tuned to E4, eight (8) tuned to CH2, eight (8) tuned to CH3, eight (8) tuned to CH4, eight (8) tuned to CH5, and eight (8) tuned to CH6; sixteen (16) VHF-TV log-periodic transmitting antenna with eight (8) tuned to 47-72 MHz and eight (8) tuned to 66-88 MHz; four (4) panel antenna arrays, broadband 174-230 MHz consisting of sixteen (16) DRV VHF-TV panel antennas with type N female input connectors and sixteen (16) RG-213 coax antenna feeder cables, four (4) 770 512 four-way equal split ratio power divider, eight (8) 759 044 power divider mounting clamps; four (4) Broadband UHF-TV omni-directional antenna tuned to 470-860 MHz; four (4) Broadband UHF panel antennas tuned to 470-860 MHz; and four (4) Broadband log-periodic antenna tuned to channels 2-13. All antennas must include mounting hardware to affix antenna to customer supplied 2-3/8inch OD pipe/mast. Four (4) K61 14 01 hot-dip galvanized steel mounting clamps (pair) to affix UHF panel antenna to customer supplied 40 to 95 mm OD, including stainless steel nuts and bolts; four (4) 770 512 four-way VHF-TV equal split ratio power divider, 2kW input, 50 ohm type 7-16 DIN female connectors all ports; and four (4) PDM2-55/50 two-way, equal split ratio power divider, 54-88 MHz, 500-watt max input with 50 ohm type N female connectors, to support requirements from the Special Communications Requirements Division of NAWCAD. Only the above described Kathrein equipment will meet the Governments needs as it is compatible with previously fielded Kathrein equipment and therefore maintains the commonality, interoperability, and interchangeability of the system architecture that it is being incorporated into. In addition, Kathrein is the only known manufacturer capable of meeting all of the following mandated project requirements; -3.0 dBd gain, allowing the antennas input power to be mutiplied by the gain to yield the effective radiated power and support wattage used during system operations, 250 watts max input, and 50 ohm type N female input connector. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 17 March 2008, 1530 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
