Description
NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to enter into a sole source delivery order with the Bell-Boeing JPO (BBJPO) for the procurement of the design, development, testing and manufacture of eight items of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and associated data to support the Landing Gear Control Valve Module at the depot level of maintenance for the V-22 aircraft. These eight SERDs are as follows: 2062 landing Gear Control Valve Mod Test Set, 2626 Lap Assembly Ramps, 2627 Enercamp Ramps, 2628 Holding Fixture Backup Ring Cutting Guide, 2629 O-Ring Bullet, 2630 Emergency Spool/Sleeve Install Tool, 2631 Sleeve Tool Set, 2897 LG Control Valve AWTS Cable Set, quantity 2 each for a total of 16 items. BBJPO, the designer, developer, and integrator of the V-22 Aircraft Weapons System, is the original manufacturer of the V-22 aircraft and remains the only business entity that has all the required proprietary rights and non disclosure agreements with the suppliers of the aircraft components that are necessary to develop and manufacture this Depot Level PSE within the required time frame of this requirement to meet the fleet requirements. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Section 6.302-1.
