- Description
- This synopsis is notification of the Fort Sill Contracting Offices intent to extend contract DABK35-03-C-0004 for eight months starting 1 April 2008 through 30 November 2008, with two, one-month options to the incumbent contractor, J&J Burk Mechanic al Contractors, Inc., 2012 NW Hoover Ave., Lawton, OK 73507. A competitive contract started on 1 December 2002 for Family Housing Heating & Air Conditioning Systems Maintenance at Fort Sill, OK. The extension will be performed under the same terms and c onditions as the existing contract. The contract type is a firm fixed price contract. The extension will provide uninterrupted services to the Fort Sill installation pending award of a new privatization requirement. This action is accomplished under the authority cited 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and is posted for 15 days. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evi dence that competition of this extension period would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be extended without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
