- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA intends to enter into negotiations for a firm fixed price contract on a full and open competition basis for an Electron Beam Evaporation System to consist of all components necessary to operate the instrument as an integrated system. It will be used to evaporate metals and metal oxides to produce thin films of Au, Ni, Ti, ITO, Cr, and TiO2. The below specifications are just a sampling of the requirements 1) Base Console housing the universal vacuum feed-through base flange. 2) Control Software for operation of process. 3) High Vacuum Chamber. 4) System shall have a Deposition Process Controller. 5) System shall have a 4 x 2 cc Multi-Pocket Electron Beam Source. 6) System shall have 2 QCM Sensors for processing monitoring. 7) System shall include a basic substrate stage assembly. 8) System shall include a source shutter assembly that will shutter a 4" diameter wafer. 9) The pumping port shall be fitted with a variable gate value chamber isolation and automatic process pressure control. The solicitation with a detailed list of specifications will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online Website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the FEBBIZOPPS website at http://vsearch2.eps.gov/servlet/searchservlet on or about 3/3/08. The solicitation will close on or about 04/02/08. Any certified small business firm believing that they can provide an Electron Beam Evaporation System may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 day after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the product without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the following website: https://www.ccr.dlis.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). Responses must include all information requested in the written Request for Quotation (RFQ). Evaluation for the award will consider price and other factors including technical capability.
