- Description
- The Louisiana National Guard intends to award a sole source procurement to the Strand Theatre, 619 Louisiana Avenue, Suite 200, Shreveport, LA 71165. The award will be made for the rental of the theater for the performance of the Louisiana National G uard 156th Army Band on 20 June 2008. Shreveport is the home of the 156th Army Band. The Strand Theatre has been selected for the providing the best configuration of musical performances in the Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana area. Factors evaluated wer e the acoustics, and technical set up to include lighting and sound that fully compliments the acoustics. Also, the Strand is the only theatre that has an orchestra pit required to support the program. The Strand also is able to support the backstage requi rements for moving musicians on and off the stage during program changes. This procurement is being made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) 1 and FAR Part 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source and no other supplies or se rvices will satisfy agency requirements. The Strand Theatre has historically been the location of the annual concert has immediate public recognition and is the only facility designed to meet the requirements of the 156th Army Band. If you feel you have a facility that may be acceptable, all qualified sources must respond not later than 14 March 2008, 1100 hours CST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion o f the Government.
