Description
The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VA Medical Center, 1310 24th Ave., S., Nashville, TN is seeking information on qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) to perform construction for "Primary & Specialty Care Expansion with Pharmacy Consolidation for Efficiency/Flow". Work includes renovation of approximately 11,300 sq. ft. to relocate and consolidate the Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacies, renovation of approximately 5,500 sq. ft. for a new cardiac cath lab, renovation to convert approximately 6,750 sq. ft for a new primary care clinic, construction of a small roof top mechanical room, and upgrade of the HVAC system, including a new air handling unit. Interested firms shall be qualified in construction and renovation of medical facilities or medical clinics and have knowledge of applicable standards including JCAHO, ADA, NFPA, and NEC. Cost range of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS code is 236220 and the size standard is $31 million. Interested firms should submit a company profile with documentation to support that they are qualified to successfully perform this project by 4:30 p.m. on March 6, 2008. Documentation should include information on past experience on projects of a similar size and type, past performance references, resumes of key personnel (CEO, project manager, superintendent) and bonding capacity. Firms that are likely to submit an offer as a joint venture as defined in FAR 9.6 and 13 CFR 125.15 shall submit a copy of their proposed Joint Venture Agreement. This is not and Invitation for Bids or a Request for Proposal. Information submitted in response to this sources sought notice will be used to determine if sufficient SDVOSB or VOSB firms exist that are qualified to perform projects of this size and scope and if set-aside procedures under the Veterans First Contracting Program are appropriate.
