- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System-INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. The VA Boston Healthcare System intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to New England Decks and Floors to install Dex-O-Tex flooring. New England Decks and Floors is a certified, factory trained Dex-O-Tex Contractor. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial services procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12, and the justification for other than full and open competition is in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy the agency requirements. To the best of the Government???s knowledge this is the only certified installer within Massachusetts-New England area that can satisfy the agencies requirements. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification. Supporting evidence along with written certification from the Dex ???O-Tex must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All information submitted in response to this announcement must be received by March 14th, 3pm EST. This information can be faxed or emailed to Kimberly Perkins. Responses will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please no phone calls will be accepted. If no responses are received the VA Boston Healthcare System will precede to sole source this requirement to New England Decks and Floors.
