- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation request for quotation, to procure commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ8194). This solicitation and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC2005-23. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to procure a Chromatography System manufactured by GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences Corp. This system is being procured using Simplified Acquisition procedures and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. Provide: 1) FRAC-920 Fraction Collector for UNICORN controlled AKTA systems. Collection modes can be slope, threshold, time or volume based. Fraction size 0.1 to 100 ml with event marks for identification of fractions and peaks. Operates at +4 to +40 deg. C. Max flow rate is 100 ml/min and includes tube rack for (95) a8 mm diameter tubes, tube rack for (175) 12mm diameter tubes; 2) (S)AKTAFPLC without Fracwith Desktop Control Unit to include Model P-920 system pump, Model M-925 Mixer for precision gradient formation, Model INV-907 Injection valve, Model UPC900 UV/pH/conductivity monitor with fixed wavelength detection, UNICORN software package, UNICORN dc5750 control unit with specially configured and tested RAID 1 with dual operating hard drives for unmatched data protection, 19 inch LCD display. 3) Sample Application KIT to include one P-960 sample pump kit including mounting kit, uninet cable, purge kit, flow restrictor, tubing and connectors, one Sample Valve kit including PV-908, uninet cable, SH900 sample holder, tubing and connectors, instructions automated sample application. 4) Flow Diversion Valve SV-923. 5) Air Sensor A-912N kit. The North American Industry Classification System Code Number 334516 and the Small business Set-Aside is 500 employees. The FOB point shall be Destination. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The following Federal Acquisition Regulations provisions and clauses apply to the acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; Far 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications Commercial Items; Far 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; Far 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items; and FAR 52.406-7 Central Contractor Registration (2003).
