- Description
- USAID/Caucasus is considering a new 3 to 5 year program in Georgia that will increase incomes and reduce the prevalence of poverty, countrywide. USAID would like to know what, in your opinion, USAID should do over the next several years to sustainably increase employment and incomes through the agricultural sector? USAID requests that your submissions consider Georgia's current political, social and economic context, as well as the lessons learned from the past several years of official, private and donor activities in the rural and agricultural sector. Please give us your thoughts in no more than five pages, describing where USAID should focus its resources and why, no later than March 10, 2008. This is not a request for proposals nor individual/corporate qualifications statements. It is an opportunity for informed organizations and individuals to help shape USAID's assistance program in Georgia. Submissions in response to this RFI will not preclude an organization from competing for a subsequent contract or assistance agreement, should USAID decide to implement a program. All information and materials submitted will become USAID's property and no compensation will be provided. No questions regarding this RFI will be answered.
