This synopsis is issued for ADAPTER, GROUND HAND, NSN: 1730-00-551-7019RN, P/N: 68D390004-1003. This item is a aluminum rail assembly that secures to a special support at F.S. 749 and is supported along its length by fuselage pads. The rails mate with engine mounted rollers to support and guide the engine through the aft fuselage during installation or removal. Size/Dimension: Height: 8 in; Width: 4 in; Depth: 130 in; Pounds: 35 lbs. Quantity: Basic Year: 1 EACH FIRST ARTICLE (CONTRACTOR TESTING WITH DATA REQUIRED and PRODUCTION QUANTITY FOR 2 EA). This will also contain four out year option periods: Option I: 1-20 EA; Option II: 1-10 EA; Option III: 1-10 EA; Option IV: 1-6 EA. A First Article (FA) is required with contractor inspection, FA test plan and report. Place of delivery: Multiple Locations. DELIVERY: 270 Calendar Days for FA, and 270 Calendar Days for production items after approval of First Article Test Report or award, as applicable. Drawings will be made available on line when the RFP is posted. The approximate RFP issue date will be 15 FEB 08 with the approximate response date of 18 MAR 08. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov only. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor will be acceptable. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. The technical data required to respond to the RFP may be obtained at the FEDTEDS webpage (https://www.fedteds.gov/). All vendors are required to register via FEDTEDS for an account in order to access the technical data. For vendor assistance or problems with the FEDTEDS webpage, call 1-866-618-5988, or mail to: cscassig@ogden.disa.mil. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and / or to communicate concerns, if any. Written procedures will be used. This procurement will use the Performance Information Retrieval System-Statistical Reporting (PPIRS-SR) In Past Performance Evaluation Program in the evaluation of past performance. All questions regarding the RFP and / or the data packages must be submitted in writing to Emily.Walker@robins.af.mil with copy to Kathryn.Canady@robins.af.mil. NO TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included.
