- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH PURSUANT TO FAR PART 10. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Southern Region Contracting Center-East, Fort McPherson, GA is conducting market research to determine the interest and capabilities of firms to perform solid waste collection, disposal and recycling services at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 562111 and the small bu siness size standard is $11.5 Million. The Government will not reimburse any concern for any information that is submitted in response to this sources sought request. Any information submitted is voluntary. Firms submitting responses should indicate wheth er they are small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). All small business concerns are required to submit a written Capabilities Statement listing their capacity and demonstrating their ability to p erform by including the following: 1. Past Performance information demonstrating relevant past experience in solid waste collection, disposal and recycling on military installations, or commercial to include family housing or residential and recreational a reas. Please include recycling center operations and a list of the types of materials recycled. 2. Current successful teaming arrangements with other businesses, small or large. All interested business concerns are required to respond to this SOURCES SOU GHT announcement via email by 14 March 08, 1:00 p.m. EST. Responses must include company point of contact, email address, telephone number and fax number. Responses must also include the dollar value and number of DoD awards you have received for similar s ervices. The information provided in response to this SOURCES SOUGHT announcement will be used to finalize the acquisition strategy for this requirement. If it is determined that responses received from small business concerns do not support capability to perform this requirement, the final acquisition strategy may provide for this requirement to be competed on an unrestricted basis using full and open competition. Large business concerns are not prohibited from responding to this announcement and are not required to submit capabilities statements.
