- Description
- The VA Medical Center located in Saginaw, Michigan, has a requirement for a contractor to provide all personnel and equipment for the operation of basic and advanced life support Ambulance Services. This service will be twenty-four hours per day, 365 days per year, on an as-needed basis. Contract period will be one year from date of award (approximately October 1, 2007) with the possibility of 4 (1) year pre-priced option periods exercised at the option of the Government. Total contract duration will not exceed 5 years. Emergency Medical Technicians providing emergency services on the ambulance under this contract must be certified, licensed or otherwise officially recognized by the local, state or regional government or public entity where the emergency ambulance service is operated or by which it is governed. It is the VA's intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. This procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 14 and will be advertised as an unrestricted procurement. The applicable NAICS code is 621910. Size standard is $6.5M. Solicitation packages will be available on or about August 15, 2007 and will be due on or about September 15, 2007. This requirement is subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 2008 funds. No hard copy solicitation will be provided.
