Description
The Federal Aviation Administration FAA is looking for pre-qualified vendors to perform the following Energy Conservation Audit,to be carried out at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) Aurora, Illinois which comes under the NACIS code heading 541330 Engineering Services. Scope of Work ------------- Engineer shall provide complete sealed engineering package (in FAA title block), including CADD 24" * 36" drawings (Site Overview Architectural, Electrical, an Mechanical Drawings (estimated 50 in number), detailed engineering specifications (ATA format plus Environmental Impacts evaluation) and government estimate constituting full engineering design services for the implementation of the following energy conservation measures at the Aurora, Illinois, Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC). 1. Replace Central Gas Hot Water Boiler with Condensing boiler controls. 2. Replace Steam Humidification Boiler with Condensing boiler controls. 3. Coat roof and walls of ISF Building with 30 mil TC Ceramic reflective paint. 4. Install IR Gas Heating System in PSB Engine Generator Halls. 5. Installation of Condenser Water Side-Stream Filtration System. 6. Installation of Seal on Walk in Freezer in Kitchen Area. 7. Install ASHRAE minimum pipe insulation on bare steam and hot water lines in boiler room. The Engineer shall perform a site visit to verify any and all equipment locations; measurements and calculations required and present the preliminary study to the FAA. The Engineer must have a least ten (10) years experience in energy conservation projects with the Federal Government and must be a licensed professional engineer in the State of Illinois. The Engineer must stamp all design drawings and specifications. These Drawings and Specifications shall constitute the construction bid documents for the FAA to bid this construction project out to local contractors. Engineer must have proper liability insurance (Professional and General) and provide a copy of all necessary insurance certificates to the FAA. The Engineer shall provide five sets of 50% design to FAA for review. 15 days after the 50% review, engineer shall provide five (5) sets of 100% design package along with an electronic version in either CD or DVD format. The Engineer must assist the FAA in inspecting the work for completion at construction phase.
