- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation and incorporate provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-23. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number Q156008M206 is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ) for light fixtures, lamps, and associated light fixture equipment to be delivered to Wind Cave National Park, Hot Springs, SD 57747-9430. This solicitation is not set aside and is a full and open competition. The NAICS code is 335122. Contractors are requested to furnish and deliver the following SUPPLIES (18 Line items). Quotes shall include: Estimated shipping date (requested delivery date of NLT 2/29/2008); shipping/handling charges (or indicate if included); FOB Destination: Wind Cave NP, Hot Spring SD 57747. Contractor shall include the manufacturer's material product data/ specification sheet and certification that material supplied meets the requirements of the specifications with the quote for each proposed item. Line Items 1. Small Non-metallic Fixture: Fixture shall consist of a one piece injection molded high performance polymer composite. The fixture shall include a fully adjustable swivel arm manufactured from high performance polymer composite with vibration proof locking teeth and 1/2" NPT male threads for mounting fixture to a junction box. Fasteners shall be 300 series stainless steel. Fixture housing color shall be bronze. Overall length of housing shall be approximately 5-7/16" by 3-7/8" diameter. The height of the swivel arm mount shall be approximately 2-5/16". The fixture shall include a 4kv rated medium base porcelain socket with nickel-plated screw shell with center contact. The fixture shall be suitable and UL listed for wet locations and rated for up to a 100 watt PAR20 incandescent lamp. Model BU1-H manufactured by Hadco or approved equal. Qty15 EA 2. Small Shroud for Small Non-metallic Fixture: Fully rotatable silicone gasketed shroud manufactured from high performance polymer composite with an integral clear tempered flat glass lens. The shroud shall be bronze color and be designed for insert into the small non-metallic fixture specified above. The shroud shall be approximately 3-inches long. Part Number 1U-H-L-O manufactured by Hadco, Littlestown, PA or approved equal.Qty:15 EA 3. Small Louver: Hexagonal cell louver designed to be positioned between the lamp and the lens of the small non-metallic fixture specified in Line 1 and 2 above. Part Number ML1 manufactured by Hadco or approved equal. QTY:5 EA 4. Medium Non-metallic Fixture: Fixture shall consist of a one piece injection molded high performance polymer composite with a fully rotatable silicone gasketed shroud manufactured from high performance polymer composite with an integral clear tempered flat glass lens. Qty: 50 EA The following clauses or provisions are specifically referenced and are required in the response to this Solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items- Evaluation Factors: The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Price, technical capability of the item offered, and performance (ability to meet requested delivery date). The evaluation factors are equal in importance. The award may not necessarily be made to the lowest price offeror.
