- The following is a combined synopsis/solicitation: Eielson AFB, Alaska is issue a requirement for Fire Hoses. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F1U3CF8036A001 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) on 20 February 2008. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23, 25 January 2008. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns and is under North American Industry Classification Standards (NAICS) code 423850, with number of employees not to exceed 100. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Clin 0001 85 each, Fire Hose, 5 inch Large Diameter hose with (2 Lug) stortz couplings. Hose meeting this specification shall consist of 100% synthetic high tensile yarn reinforcements circular plain woven so as to eliminate any left hand twist. The woven reinforcement of the inner hose shall be totally encased in a matrix of ozone resistant nitrile rubber utilizing a single, through the weave extrusion process, thereby eliminating the possibility of delamination. Each section of hose shall be 100 feet in length and yellow in color. Additionally all hose shall meet the requirements of NFPA 1962. (End description). The delivery time line has been pushed out to 90 days through this amendment. All proposals will be considered even if shipping dates are out past 90 days.
