- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, WSC, Catonsville, Maryland has a requirement for specialized laboratory studies to perform a biodegradation study of an explosives compound that is being conducted for the White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The Government intends to make award on a sole source basis to University of Maryland Baltimore County, Chemistry Department for this requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(2). This award will include a 19 month period of performance. The University of Maryland Baltimore County, Chemistry Department is uniquely qualified to provide the service required. The University of Maryland Baltimore County, Chemistry Department has industry professionals that possess the unique and essential technical and scientific qualifications required to complete this requirement. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about March 4, 2008 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541710.
