- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to increase the quantity of reagents to an existing award using sole source authority to Edge Biosystems Inc., 19208 Orbit Drive, Gaithersburg, MD. Edge Biosystems is the original man ufacturer of these products and is the only source that provides products that incorporate our current validated sequencing procedures with the data on hand. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Pr oposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No modification will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence tha t competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the modification will be executed without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this n otice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the following e-mail address no later than 4:00 p.m. EST, 13 March 2008: robyn.warden@amedd.army.mil.
